Environmental Impact Statements

Notice is hereby given by An Bord Pleanála (the Board) under article 112 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001 that an environmental impact statement (EIS) has been received by the Board in accordance with section 128 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 in respect of each of the appealsin the Schedule below.

The EIS in each of the appeals is available for inspection and purchase during office hours at the offices of the relevant local planning authority and the Board.

Submissions or observations may be made to the Board in relation to any of the appeals listed in the Schedule and should be received by the Board not later than four weeks beginning on the date of publication of this notice, i.e. by 5.30p.m. on Wednesday the 16th April, 2008. Submissions or observations must be accompanied by a fee of €50 except in the case of certain bodies specified by the Board. Where submissions or observations are made in respect of more than one appeal, a separate fee must accompany the submissions or observations on each appeal.

Schedule

Location: Stephens Street, Alexander Street, Michael Street, New Street, Castle Street, Waterford City.

Development: Mixed use development comprising a hotel, offices, 60 no. retail units and 26 no. apartments and all associated site works including demolition works.

The appeal relates to a protected structure under the 2000 Act, as amended.

An EIS notice relating to this development was first published on 12th September, 2007. Chapter 16 of the EIS submitted with this application had been omitted in error. Development: Demolish 11 no. old fattening houses, construct 3 no. new pig fattening houses and all associated site works.
