2008 Irish eGovernment Awards

An Bord Pleanála was nominated for an Irish eGovernment Award for its website in the Best Accessible website category.

The criteria that the judges were looking at were the steps taken to enhance ease of use for all and accessibility to people with disabilities. This included content, use of clear and simple language, overall usability of the site, accessibility for people with disabilities, look and feel, functionality and information architecture and navigation.  

While the Board did not win the award, the Board was appreciative of the nomination as an acknowledgement of efforts to make the services to the public more accessible.
