New Renewable Energy Directive (RED) III EIA Scoping Guide Published 

From 1 November 2026, any application lodged with the Commission for renewable energy developments under Section 37E of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 are subject to mandatory EIA scoping.

A new RED (III) EIA Scoping Guide has been prepared in association with ERM which can be used by prospective applicants, prescribed bodies, and other participants involved in Strategic Infrastructure Renewable Energy Developments submitted directly to An Coimisiún Pleanála.
