Policy and Procedures on Protected Disclosures

The Protected Disclosures Act, 2014, as amended by the Protected Disclosures (Amendment) Act 2022, requires that every public body shall establish and maintain procedures for the making of protected disclosures by workers who are or were employed by the public body and others and for dealing with such disclosures. An Bord Pleanála's current Policy and Procedures on Protected Disclosures was adopted by the Board in October 2023.
 
Section 22 Annual Report
As required by Section 22 (5) of the Protected Disclosures Act 2014, as amended , every public body shall prepare and publish not later than 31 March in each year a report in relation to the immediately preceding year in relation to matters covered by the Protected Disclosures Act including the number of protected disclosure reports made to the organisation in that preceding year.
