Declan Moore
Board Member
Declan Moore was appointed ordinary Board member on 2nd September 2024 to 1st September 2029.
Declan has an extensive background in local government, as an Elected Member (Councillor and Alderman), Director of Services and Deputy CEO (including responsibility for regulatory and policy planning), and CEO in three different authorities in Australia.
Declan holds formal qualifications in disability nursing, speech pathology, business, health management, human resources and sustainability, and has had considerable experience in the provision and management of a range of local government, education and community services and programs, as well as hospital, disability and community health services.
Declan's most recent role in Ireland was in 2017 to 2019, as Regional Director of Saint John of God Community Services (North East). This role involved managing several hundred staff, providing residential and day services to people living with an intellectual disability, a service level agreement with the HSE and maintaining mutually robust and respectful relationships with the HSE’s Regional Head of Social Care and the Health Information and Quality Authority's Inspectorate.
