Mick Long
Board Member
Mick Long was appointed interim Board member on 3rd January 2023 for a one year term, an extension to the term had been granted to the 2nd January 2025.
On 2nd September 2024 he was appointed an ordinary Board member to 2nd January 2028.
Mick has a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from UCD and has an Advanced Diploma in Planning and Environmental Law from Kings Inn. He started his career in the Property Registration Authority and subsequently worked for 26 years in the Office of the Public Works (OPW).
He was the Chief Financial Officer in the OPW for 9 years before being appointed as the Head of Corporate Services at Director level on the OPW Management Board in 2018 with additional responsibility for Strategy Development, Corporate Governance and Risk.
Mick completed the executive leadership programme at Harvard Business School in 2009 and has earlier this year received a Diploma and Certificate (distinction) in Company Direction with the Institute of Directors in Ireland. He was conferred with Chartered Director status from the Institute of Directors, London, in 2023.
