Tom Rabbette
Board Member
Tom Rabbette, B.Arch., MRUP, MIPI, was appointed interim Board Member on the 1st March 2023 for a one-year term, an extension has been granted to the 31st of December 2024.
He holds a primary degree in architecture (UCD), a master’s degree in regional and urban planning (UCD) and an advanced diploma in Planning & Environmental Law (King’s Inns). He is a member of the Irish Planning Institute.
Prior to joining An Bord Pleanála, Tom worked in architecture and planning in both the public and private sectors in Ireland and Germany. He joined An Bord Pleanála in 2003 as a planning inspector, was appointed a senior planning inspector in 2006 and Assistant Director in Planning in 2017. He has also lectured part-time in the Dublin Institute of Technology (now Technological University Dublin).
