An Bord Pleanála has guidelines for applications for local authority developments requiring approval under Section 177AE of the Planning and Development Act 2000 as amended (Appropriate Assessment). 

The guidelines are to provide administrative and procedural advice to local authorities to assist in the preparation of their applications and give examples of the type of information required so as to facilitate a fully informed and timely decision.
