An Bord Pleanála uses your personal data only for the purpose of providing our services and fulfilling our legal duties as set out under relevant legislation.
In order to provide these services, we are required to collect certain personal data such as names, addresses and site descriptions. Any extra personal data that you voluntarily supply (including sensitive personal data, for example concerning health issues) may be used by An Bord Pleanála to meet statutory requirements to carry out our duties and functions.
You should note that the use of personal data supplied by you may involve its circulation to other relevant parties and disclosure into the public domain in relation to any matter before An Bord Pleanála.
Note in particular that, in respect of certain submissions (relating to proposed road developments), and (referral cases and associated submissions) An Bord Pleanála is legally obliged to publish these documents in full on its website, and any personal data (including sensitive personal data) that is contained in these submissions, except for contact details, will be published in full.
