The time period for the making of a submission/observation by the public will be stated in the public notice. A submission/observation can be made online or in hard copy to the Board by post to Marine/Climate Section of An Bord Pleanála (‘the Board’) 64 Marlborough Street, Dublin 1 during the specified period (which shall not be less than 8 weeks), relating to -
(i) the implications of the proposed development for maritime spatial planning, and
(ii) the implications of the proposed development for proper planning and sustainable development, and
(iii) the likely effects on the environment or any European site of the proposed development (if applicable),
if carried out.
Any submission/observation must include the following information:
- the name of the person making the submission or observation, the name of the person acting on his or her behalf, if any, and the address to which any correspondence relating to the application should be sent,
- the subject matter of the submission or observation, and
- the reasons, considerations and arguments on which the submission or observation is based in full. (Article 5 of the Planning and Development Act (Marine Development) Regulations 2023 refers).
Any submission or observation which does not include the above information shall not be considered by the Board.
