Martina Hennessy
Board Member
Martina Hennessy was appointed interim Board member on the 24th of April 2023 for a one-year term, an extension has been granted to the 31st of December 2024.
Martina has joined from the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications (DECC) where she led the development of offshore renewable energy policy and implementation of new maritime planning legislation. Prior to that she had responsibility for petroleum policy and regulation in DECC and also worked in the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform.
She joined the civil service in 2016, with a wide range of experience in leadership, project management and transformation delivery in both public and private sectors.
She holds a BA (Hons) in Natural Sciences from TCD and MSc in Geographical Information Systems, in addition to a range of post-graduate and professional qualifications. In 2021 she completed the Advanced Diploma in Planning and Environmental Law from King’s Inns.
